JRD Aminos proprietary blend of 9 essential Amino Acids are backed by research. This particular blend of the nine essential amino acids (EAAs) - including the branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) leucine, isoleucine, and valine - plus arginine, have been proportioned in the most optimal ratios.
Arginine is an Amino Acid that helps the body build protein. It acts as a vasodilator, dilating blood vessels. It is known that arginine converts to nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow to muscles. As a result, subjects using JRD Aminos often report faster recovery times.

Amino Acids aid in a large percentage of a body’s natural function.
- They are used by the body to produce energy.
- They can be used directly as an energy source but are also used for gluconeogenesis.
- Several amino acids, including the essential amino acid leucine, are also used directly as oxidizable fuels during exercise. Depending on the duration and intensity of exercise and other factors such as glycogen stores and energy intake, amino acids can provide from a few to approximately 10% of the total energy for sustained exercise.
WHAT ARE AMINO ACIDS?
Amino Acids are often referred to as “Essential” or “BCAA” but if you take a closer look, you’ll learn that there are at least 20 Amino Acids and a few different categories they fall into:
- Essential Amino Acids (EAAs)
- Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)
- “Non Essential” Amino Acids (NEAA’s)
THERE ARE 3 BRANCHED CHAIN AMINO ACIDS (BCAAs):
These amino acids are considered anabolic and help to build muscle. All three are found in JRD Aminos.
THERE ARE 9 ESSENTIAL ACIDS (EAA's):
- Valine (BCAA)
- Isoleucine (BCAA)
- Leucine (BCAA)
The body is not able to produce these amino acids internally and they must be consumed from an external source. Take note that the three BCAAs are also considered Essential Amino Acids.
What Makes JRD Aminos Special?
JRD Aminos contain a total of 10 Amino Acids – all 9 of the EAAs plus Arginine.
Arginine was added because its addition improved the effectiveness of the formula as a whole in terms of its impact on muscle mass and strength, even though it is not considered essential.
